Sunday Savvy #92
Sunday Lime 1
I have, as many i’m sure, associated the holly with Christmas. And then again, three are those who say every day should be Christmas. So with no hesitation or qualms i write in response to Kristjaan’s prompt today

Oh I love a night to be awakened after rain... So much freshness.
It rained here last night, awakening to a greener landscape.
It's been raining here, too, but skies still are heavy and gray. Maybe the sun will peek through for sunset.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous :D

Holly is always welcome. Lovely, Gillena!
I see holly as hope and it is always good to wake up with that in our hearts :)
How right you are to say each day should be held in celebration, as if it were Christmas.
Thanks for your appreciation Jae

It is so nice to wake up in the freshness of a new day after a 'rain blessed night.' Lovely writing, Gillena.
What a lovely thought....yes holly is associated with Christmas and winter, but there is such beauty as it grows even now.
Thanks Mary

I like to think that the traditional use of holly in Europe is also a reminder of the crown of thorns that later would have such symbolism in Christianity.
i read of the holly and
the charm of its legacy
One just can't avoid of what had been said of it through the years!

Ah--this is such a wonderfully tender piece!
That's a nice tanka Gillena. I knew that Holly was associated with Christmas, but its deeper meaning is for all times.
It sounds like a charming experience altogether.
Holly means Christmas to me. Bright gloss green with red berries against white snow. Sadly we have the plastic variety here for Christmas....wrong climate.!
Rall its the same here in tropical Trinidad 🌺

Simply beautiful, Gillena.
Christmas can take place anytime, anywhere, as long as Christ dwells in our heart.
