the night is over, yet this moth
slumber tranced clings to the wall

yellows flecks unfailingly stayed
span two centimeters if so many

morning light streams through
is she warm cold or even she

mottled dusky wings refusing flight
to rest and mysteriously to disappear

I enjoy the questions posed about the still creature. This morning a moth desperately sought exit from my foyer. How did she get there? I fed my cat. She was still on my return, so I scooped her up to an open door and watched her bees-line it free. There's one I won't collect dried from some deep pocket someday.

Day for night for moths. This one will soon seek a dark corner and then come out to dance at night for your delight.

Great ending Gillena! That aptly described them. There one moment and next minute not there anymore!
