ocean mirrors sky
leaves of the coconut trees
dripping rain drops

closed butterfly wings
chrysanthemum buds yield
to the morning breeze

apple cores like stars
shadowy night clouds cover
cool ocean ripples

daisies face the sun
under hay in the cow shed
secret code whispered

This is a great series in response to the prompt -- but I really think your second haiku is a masterpiece. Lovely -- really lovely. :)

The apple core stars remind me of fall and apple bobbing. What a wonderful combination Gillena.
