lightning
to show the way
at pre dawn
and stormy winds -
yet not the full brunt of
lady Patricia
she has ravaged
Mexico
she longs
now to slumber
i too return
to slumber land there to find
a cauldron
steamy hot water
when i awake surely
i will brew tea

Best thing to do in the morning...brew tea!
Oh yes.. heard about Patrica in the news how it almost lashed Mexico.. but luckily it lost its aggression midway. Have a lovely weekend :D

I like the segue from the cauldron to the anticipation of tea on the morrow. Congratulations on your book!
love the homely, cozy feel of this...especially how she brews the tea. feels like a fall morning to me! :)

May you both sleep sound!
Yes, that world wide news luckily turned out to be less damaging than forecasted. Whatever our choice of beverage in the morning it certainly allows us to start the day afresh. I normally start with tea then coffee a couple of hours later!
Brewing tea seems like the best thing to do in such a circumstance.
Such an epic force rendered with such delicacy. Wonderful writing and congratulations, as well, on the publication of your book.
The hurricane apparently veered away! That's good news! And so also your book, congrats Gillena!
