Good one, Gillena....can't make out what incident Sakuo san is talking about....to me, the verse didn't suggest anything terrifying...Hope all is fine, :)

Sakuo san, the 'mountain blotches' are the bursts of inflorescent trees now in their pink glory, it is a divinly beautiful incident as lovely as your cherry blossoming in Japan, thanks for stopping by, and thanks for your concern

thanks for your visits and kind words. what is interesting to me in this poem is the juxtaposition of blotched to your perfectly colorful sunny landscape- somehow beauty is obscured

i have edited my haiku to include in Line 4 'pink' ; so it now reads 'pink poui'

This feels like spring! I can't wait until the flowering trees start blooming here. Of course....first all the snow will have to melt.
