see! across the street
a pomerac tree laden
ants eat fallen fruit

~every gust of wind rife with cliches~

i sashay my hips
knocking at his door to fetch
a cup of sugar

Nice that you tried the puente, Gillena! Hope you get that cup of sugar, and maybe an invitation to coffee too.

Ha I like this one. Sashaying the hips as a prelude to borrowing a cup of sugar. Good luck! Rife wirh
cliches is good too.

Lovely puente form. And I just love the word shashay--had not thought of it in a long time. Great image with the ripe fruit.
