Zuri July 2014
the scene pauses -
my grandbaby (not yet 2)
swipes the screen
morning clearing/ the questionong tone of/an unknown bird//
A reading in ordinary time,
This poem doesn't need to rhyme;
However, if i make it,
I'll just call it a limerick;
Then clean, cook, chop some thyme

Very cute grandchild, Gillena! I enjoyed your little snapshot today, your daily activities and the questioning bird in the background.

I enjoyed the reflection on ordinary time...but your grandchild looks extra-ordinary to me.
