I picked some bird peppers from my garden this morning; interesting fact about these peppers - they are planted by birds, sort of like a divine gift to gardens.

Loved the poem. The picture of the peppers set it off well. I had a volunteer tomato plant pop up in my garden and in spite of being roughly transplanted it ate the rest of the garden.
Reading this is a refreshing opening to the morning.We have a bean vine in the middle of our zinnias that appears to have been planted by birds, or possibly squirrels. Nature is cool like that.

Gillena, have not read you before. What a nice little blog you have here! Me, if I am awakened by the twitter of birds, I am usually pissed! Ha ha ha, but I am a late sleeper and so those first morning birds are a perpetual nuisance. Didn't let that spoil trying to be someone else when reading this poem, though. That kind of pepper is familiar to me I think I have it in my garden but don't pick it up my hubby said it can't be eaten just for decoration. But I don't believe it peppers are peppers right? I think I have to harvest mine and mix it to my pickle. ^_^

So glad you reminded me of the little birds in Honolulu when I was much younger ours were like this: seed eating birds hanging upside down eating red-hot chili peppers !!
