a door slams in the gaze of
a pigeon cooing

The sound of that door is a tribute to the wind
I like the contrast between the loud slam and the gentle coo.
So many actions expressed in this masterful verse!
Thanks for your apprwciation Björn

Clearly the door has heard it all before. All creatures seem to have good and bad points and pigeons are a case in point for their gentle cooing is offset by the mess they make!
Windy here as a big snow storm looms....love the wind when it is summer like weather though
Lovely poem. I love the contrast between that loud slam and the gentle cooing.
The wind slams the door so one might hear the gentle cooing..so much in so few words.
Lovely Gillena.
The wind has whistled here today, but alas no (wood) pigeons cooing.

Like the photo and your words that match it so well,

This is a brilliant haiku! I found it to be so impactful. An awesome bit of writing.
That's lovely Gillena... thank you for sharing with Micropoetry Month.
That was powerful!

The slam and the coo make for an excellent contrast. Thank you, too, for the Cold Play.
Love the 'cooing' standing out against all these odds.
There's a distant violence here, a memory perhaps or sense of something to come.
Love this! The contrast between the slamming of the door and the gentle cooing of the pigeon is brilliant!
