Happy Birthday to your Mother. I suspect you do have your own face, as do I, but I enjoy seeing the relationship in the mirror. That is truth, that relationship, for sure. Neat puzzle of a poem. PS, Once again, I enjoy the music too.

Wishing your mother a very happy day. I had a moment like that some years ago when I looked in the mirror and saw my grandmother's face superimposed on mine. Pretty cool. Loved your poem.

Facial features or other attributes do get passed on; I did inherit some skills from my father
and other different ones from my mother but when younger I thought I was adopted as I looked like neither of them!

I love how you've encapsulated that recognition in the small egg of a haiku, Gillena. Happy birthday to your mum!

Happy birthday to your mother, though belated one day. I like your haiku. Appearance-wise, my sister looks more like my mother than I. But I find myself doing something like my mother would do as I get older.
