The tiger butterfly is flying through the garden, a feeling of certain assuredness sets in - of its alighting on an Ixora or a Bougainvillea, since they are in its path. The tiger butterfly, charts its path in a straight un-looped line. The tiger butterfly flies a while, flies back along another charted path and leaves the flowers untouched.

there is still wonder

Sigh πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ to be as assured as a passing butterfly 😍 that is a beautiful and inspiring message, Gillena. Thank you so much for writing to the prompt.😊

Without a path, there is no fixed destinantion. I love the metaphor of the tiger butterfly...it makes me ponder.

A beautifully rendered haibun. The haiku - which I found to be truly transcendent in its depth - completes the piece, perfectly.

I love their erratic way of flying butterflies as it is a cross between 'which flower to I pick next?' or 'I feel a bit drunk the feast!

Your haibun is so beautiful, Gillena! I’ve been watching butterflies from my window – the wonder in your haiku expresses how I feel.
