Covid is persistent in wanting to stay in many countries. Some Australian states are out of bounds for people living next door such as the one I live in where borders are still closed as we are free of the virus.

Gillena Cox said...

Yes borders here are at the moment closed, but there has been talk of opening soon

Thanks for dropping by Robin

Your words may be few, but their impact is great - sensitive as well as observant. :-) ♥

The 'mask to mask' one made me smile. The others touched my heart. I liked seeing the photo of your parents, too. May you be comforted.

Like Rosemary, the "mask to mask" bit brought a smile to my face. i hope the restrictions don't bring too many complications to your mom's funeral. My thoughts are with you, Gillena.

Only ten persons can gather for funerals. She was creamated there at the funeral agency in San Fernando. I did not attend in person. I viewed a live stream.

I'm sorry to hear of your mother's death. By now the funeral would be over, I hope it was a nice one. Being born in 1930 she would have been 91, three years older than me. I know she was a lovely woman, I remember you used to write of her doings. Was it COVID-19 related? Mrs. Jim's sister's was as was our daughter's husband.

Thanks for dropping by Jim, according to my sister Chris she died peacefully in her sleep. Not Covid 19 related. Guess it was just her time to return to the Lord.

Here, those vaccinated don't need to wear a mask. There's still the worry about the variant and what that could mean for the future.

Stay well and keep posting your art and poems.
