2954

Pencil sketch

Mary I, also called Mary Tudor, byname Bloody Mary, (born February 18, 1516, Greenwich, near London, England—died November 17, 1558, London), the first queen to rule England (1553–58) in her own right

I am reading

[The White Princess by Philippa Gregory.]

What are you reading now?

Trinidad suffered the setback of an   island outage on Wednesday 16th February 2022. It started a little after noon. Tobago was not affected

I was happy to have been reading a book i found very interesting. So i absorbed myself in reading throughout the blackout during the daylight hours.

Your second haiku speaks to our times: That pesky (and deadly) coronavirus seems determined to be with us forever. So we mask and vax...and go out to enjoy a meal with friends, laughing in the face of death.

I am so glad you got to go out for your birthday, Gillena! I love your sketch! I am reading Rosemunde Pilcher's: Winter Solstice. And I can't put it down. I will look yours up! Nothing... like a good book and story!

Gillena, this is a nice post, nice with a bite Haiku. I like your drawing also, you gave her even a little more viciousness look than the photo was able to do. Good Job!!

You have managed to capture the queens face, she doesn’t look very happy. Our electric has just come back on after 20 hours, so a bit late commenting. Have a great weekend.

I have not read Phillipa Gregory for a long while. Such memories I have. Your drawing portrays your thoughts well.

The people eater haiku gave me chills... So many metaphorical cannibals these days. I haven't read any Phillipa Gregory, I hope you're enjoying your reading. I'm currently reading The Path of Daggers by Robert Jordan and The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Hadlow.
