Irish Blessing

May the sun be warm and kind to you;

The darkest night some star shine through;

The dullest morn a radiance brew;

And when dusk comes-God's hand to you!

AFTER ST PATRICK'S DAY...BELATED GREETINGS

SUNDAY SMILES

BLOG HOPPING TODAY WITH

a wine glass upturned

 gasps of upheaval spilling

tears seep dripping wet

 to cloth of safety

lowly farmers wear in fields

 of sunflowers bold

 this upside down world -

 caught in another tempest

oh these winds of woe

 a flood emanates

 who will swab the decks of misery

who captains this ship

Good question Gillena! Utter confusion of the long-going pandemic now into the 4th dose stage. Who is in charge?

Happy belated St. Patrick's Day to you, too. Your poem chimed unexpectedly with all the recent images of people leaving Ukraine; the upside-down glass both instantly homely and a spillage from a titan's cup.
