grim glittering crumble empties confetti voracious unfurls wind split mind sign deck

all hands on deck -

this old saying now alive

with new promise

glittering  rhinestones -

did the stars fall out unto

the coat of this guy

a grim wind blows

split banana flower unfurls -

morning birds sing

cookies crumble  in 

the hands of a toddler -

and grandma as well

voracious ants feed -

leftovers a confetti

their intimate prize

sign of attention

 empties her mind of all else 

rain on the rooftop

August 1st was a public holiday - Emancipation Day in T&T

 Distinguished guests From Ghana; the royals: Prince Nana Poku Agyeman, and Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asante King, Ghana; and their entourage were present at festival activities happening; as T&T celebrated in Emancipation mode remembrance: parades, drumming, dancing, theatre, religious devotions, and feasting.
