A BLESSED GOOD FRIDAY EVERYONE

Hi friends....
[selfie: photo edited in PicsArt] At 5:00, we leave the starting point, be it the church yard (in the days of the old church before it was renovated) or The Royal Bank car park (those days we were a borrowed church building) or the school yard (those day we were using the Chapel in the Girl's school. The Way of the Cross is our street event of remembering and repenting, with scriptural readings and hymning along the way. On returning to our starting point, sweet cross buns and a soft drink, juice or water is our reward treat before go back to our homes, to prepare for the afternoon mass, Ah! but this year!
Today, Good Friday, crown of thorns is also symbolic in the Christian remembrances of the passion and crucifixion of Jesus Christ; John the Evangelist wrote ...Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers plaited a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, And said,"Hail, King of the Jews!" and they smote him with their hands...more here
