Online community poetry has been a charm for me since my retirement. I had planned when i retire to write , write and write; my hobby. Today i am still writing within in the exclusivity of my home and my private space. Which i hold dear to and enjoy. Outreached happened in unplanned spontaneous ways. Like acquiring copies of fellow online community writers through e-books and snail mail purchases. Then there were book swapping. Which i really really like. My first swap was with a Romanian haiku poet in 2009. I'm still book swapping in 2018.

Earlier this year, Chrissi Villa and myself, we did a book swap. I sent her a signed copy of my book 'The Little Seed And His Brother' for her goddaughter. She sent me a signed copy of her book 'Mud Spots and Candy Sprinkles' for my granddaughter.
My granddaughter Zuri, never settles for just one reading of 'Mud Spots and Candy Sprinkles'

Sunday Savvy
a haiku book received
book swap

--gillena cox

Its a hot bright Sunday, i remember i haven't cleared my mail box in the last few days; but i thinking, i dont need to be so anxious about receiving bills. However the large white envelope contains a copy of Undercurrent - by Marleen Hulst and Bouwe Bouwer; so i now have in my collection two books of Bouwe's haiku; this one and a previously received copy of Messages From The Past; he in turn has both my books - Moments and Pink Crush
