Lorraine's -- its last year's, I remember the day...nice haiga...except Cindrella was rushing back to her baggage of domestic burden, perhaps :)

You know what -- of all that fairy tale...I loved to read the part she does the domestic chores...the pucca feminine self in me; I love to do it myself; may be thats why...the time i get my mind free for myself :)

you know the saying 'If the shoe fits...'
well sometimes, like in the case of Lorraine's haiga persona we all like to let go of all the ascribed responsibilities, and just be, even for that fleeting haiku instance a carefree persona;
but Devika; in the case of Cinderella, personally, i beleive she wasn't rushing back to her domestics; i think she had her dreams, but she was sensible enough to acknowledge the constraints of her life situation at that time; so she had to leave; some of the story versions had her leaving two nights on time; to my mind, she knew this was the last night of the ball she would leave; but not without her feminine persona, her hidden siren, inciting her prince to pursue her,

The fact that Cinderella in open to any number of interpretaions is the inetersting aspect of the fairy tale, as I see it (though I am not very comfortably convinced with some of them, from a personal viewpoint)
btw, I don't know about such a siren ;)....and if that works, modern Cinderalla aspirants must be reading Dahl's poem of y'day I guess! ha :)

Devika yes there are many many variants but one good thing the main themes remain, that of oppression, dreams, triumph, and a happy ending
