invisible lines
trace Caladium edges -
as morning greetings

© gillena cox 2017

The Caladium in the image is from my garden. Eyes all rested, i'm back with this week's serving of The Sunday Standard. Here in T&T we have two national holidays this month, August 1st was Emancipation Day (Wikipedia say we are the only country with this holiday) and as well, on August 31st we will celebrate Independence.

My mother used to grow caladium. I had not thought of them for years. Thank you for the trip down memory lane with your lovely words.

Your haiku has a mystery to it that I enjoy. Your Basho selection is stunning and fits well with yours.

I love your haiku, such a beautiful leave with the pink in it... something to draw as well as write about. No, we don't have "emancipation day' in the Netherlands, maybe we should have! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier, hug from Holland!
