I imagine how startled the grasshopper must be, to find himself inside. Smiles.
I hope he left quickly!
I always imagine the house seems much more pleasant than the heat outside, although I'm not always that welcoming of what finds it way inside. Love the image of the grasshopper--it looks as if it just dropped by for a visit.
haha...the grasshopper leaves, that is so my childhood back in the islands. nice and charming.

Grasshoppers are good luck Gillena! Loved your haiku and art-making!
I've seen so many bright green grasshoppers around here lately. None inside yet. They must be awfully fun to corral back out!
Grasshoppers indoors are such a nuisance!
we've had some hopping around recently too!
I would have never thought of a grasshopper haiku Gillena. This is really kewl. I can see his little self hopping on the sill, inviting himself in. Have a great Sunday.
He was uninvited, but the visit was unintentional too, I'm sure. He must miss the grass you cut. Now he's a little confused.
Thanks for your appreciation Lea

Been having quite a few here myself π Happy Sunday, Gillena πππ
Did you do the sketch, too? Loved the poem and presentation. So many uninvited guests find the gaps in the screens. And the music soars.
Hope it got out again all right!

The grasshopper may be an uninvited guest but, is certainly one I would greet with a smile. Happy Sunday!
I can so picture the scene. It is as if, it fill out of a charming children's story book and I am imagining the adventure that is about to commence. A wonderful haiku!
We must never forget that birds, animals and insects are just as inquiitive as we are so giving them a safe exit is best. Mind you ants are a little bossy and I don't approve of them!

English is a funny things. Around here, "let fly" means something like "throw," or, in specific contexts, "permits/allows to take flight." In either case, the implication would be that the grasshopper is put out, but that doesn't seem to be how this has been read. Anyway, dear Gillena, always a pleasure.
Ah!!! Thanks for dropping by. Yes indeed this is how it happened.
Though i am always too interested in what and how others view my haiku snd haiga. That's why i rarely add notes.
Happy you dropped by
