sated of daytime
a golden glow of evening
hides a tired sun
birds tend to roost
the high branches of evening
beneath greying sky
eventide
where will the lioness meet
with her mate

Lovely haiku. Hopefully, the lioness will not meet her mate in the tree!
You create such a vivid morning & evening balanced between these two poems! I'm just going to sit back and imagine plumeria blooms on the patio instead of the spiderweb I actually walked into this morning (the spider moved further from yesterday's rain, to the surprise of both of us).
Thanks for your appreciation 😊 Bev

This is stunning and just how I felt when I walked out my back door into the morning. I love the music too.

Sometimes, I think, we experience God's faithfulness in simple acts like sweeping litter from the sidewalk. A blessed Sunday to you, Gillena.

You paint such lovely pictures of fall. I can't wait to do some sweeping...
And I really like your interpretation of The Sunday Muse photo. I keep smiling thinking about lions on a date. :-)

Love the Haiku and the beautiful descriptive poem
This is a nice post, Gillena. I like the Haiku, but for you and me this won't be true come Autumn, in Gulf Coast Texas possibly by mid November, likely in December. I think you have green year round.
Your Haiku poem is nice too, I like best that she is up in the tree waiting for her male,
..
Lovely writing, Gillena.
Lovely! My new favourite of yours.

Ah, he is waiting for the lioness, no wonder he is up high where he can see her approach. Cool, Gillena.
A double work of art ... perfect haiku shown in a perfect setting of your creation! Just lovely.
