I really enjoyed seeing your take on the challenge and your beautiful vintage picture of the sugar cane cutters (a miserable job for sure) also the great details you added to make it special...great job.

I apologize for taking so long to visit. It was definitely beyond my control. I'm trying to catch up, but it's harder than I actually imagined it would be.

The sugar cane entry was beautiful. I saw a documentary on how hard it is to get sugar cane started, so that was impressive. I also LOVE your family home. It is a beautiful entry for Rain's theme, dear Gillena.

Gillena,

The sugar cane got me to thinking about soft drinks from years ago. Big companies used to sweeten their sodas with real sugar. I wished they'd go back to using 'real sugar' again. I don't like the soda pop recipe they used with corn syrup. They also lack the flavor and fizz. I guess they are cutting costs and apparently no one seems to cares. :( I like the house with hearts! A home filled with love is what family is all about, isn't it? So sweet!

Thank you for this beautiful reminiscence of my life in the tropics!
Take care and be safe.

Sugar Cane ... what would the world do without it, and Cacao beans as well:) An interesting picture indeed. But, most of all, I love your house ... home is where the heart is and that is what you have reminded us of today. There is a sweetness about you, Gillena ... Stay well and safe :)
