blushing poinsettias cause

Watching the moon is a great thing to do without a face mask, Gillena! You have reminded me of ‘blushing poinsettias’, flowers I haven’t seen in a long while. Very Christmassy!

The leaves may have gone but deciduous trees decide to have a break over winter after giving birth to all her children.

Very positively responsive work(s), GC. Not sure i could do 100 mask haiku, but your successful effort is laudable!

I like the image where Christmas red "smothers even the sunsets seeped of November."

I love how the facemask lines made my head tilt :)

Gillena, these are both lovely! The bare face to the moon and the red of the season running over itself capture the private peace & overwhelming celebration of this season really well.

Beautiful pieces of poetry, Gillena. The haiku, especially is so vivid.

"when the lore of red / smothers even the sunsets" -- Oooh!

At least the moon is untouched by all the madness. Thank goodness for the things that haven't changed.

Lovely imagery of the moon. <3

I loved the haiku and its accompanying art. Your window poem was beautiful indeed!

The moon is excellent company. The same goes for resilient leaves that hang on for a while... before dancing in the wind... towards something new and (one hopes) better...

Happy Sunday, Gillena.

Loved reading your poem with the music on the background. Beautiful poem I especially loved
'when the lore of red
smothers even the sunsets
seeped of November' gorgeous
and I loved the last stanza as well

I liked your Haiku foursome, I would name it (maybe) "Come December". My favorite line was "memories of leaves" because even when the leaves are gone our mind easily puts them back for us to see it dressed. Unless it's a Zombie Tree.
