I am sure we will remember this year for many reasons; not the least of which is either the adherence or refusal to use masks when there is a risk of contact!
Happy you dropped by Robin

Yes, amazing how empty the streets became.
done that, during the pandemic! :)
yes, the streets were empty during the lockdown, it was quite surreal.
two vivid poems--I think I'm as lonely for the streets as they might be for traffic and the mesmerizing daydream of girl and mountain was a good healing vision.
Dream on!
“allowing a dreamer to
shape her fantasy”
How gorgeous.
This year.... my heart breaks for so many, for so many reasons. Your poems are beautiful. Enjoy your Sunday.
We are all too familiar with those lockdown days, aren't we?
I can relate to your lovely poem for a dreamer Gillena. Yes, thank God for the grace of poetry.
An end will come. Ends always do. Then something new...
It's still pretty much lock-down here. We pin our hopes to vaccine.
The first thing that struck me about the image was the mystery behind her eyes ... beautiful write, Gillena.

I really like of of these, Gillena. The first because it speaks of the current times, and I can relate. The others because of the rich imagery and fruit for thought.
Have a very happy Sunday.
We need dreams and fantasy to help us through times of reality.
Happy Sunday!
I love the open window that helps with our dreaming. Perhaps you could send her up here for us a while. :)

We are blessed and don't have lockdown in NZ as there is no Covid
Love the line "allowing a dreamer to shape her fantasy"
Lockdown days fit in with the Advent yearning for a Savior, indeed.
I had a mellow Sunday...saying the last goodbye to a cousin who'd been dying for years before coronavirus, readjusting to the sudden return of hearing in what's been my "bad" ear for 30 years, writing a long gloomy blog post and a quick goofy one. (How the other scheduled post popped up in the middle of the night, I'm not sure...anyway, that makes this a very wordy Sunday.)

With empty streets I feel we become more observant. Perhaps that is a blessing in dark, pandemic days.
I like your haiku and appreciate that you shared "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel," my favorite song this time of year.
