remember when
the other side of the screen
we swooned

remember when
in darkened hall of intrigue
those eyes held us
the other side of the screen
places called house
pit and balcony
we swooned

much love.
"in darkened hall of intrigue
those eyes held us"...Wow! Love this. Perfectly captured.
This took me back to the good old days of going to the cinema once or twice a week when much younger I lived in Britain. Mind you there wasn't much on TV in those years immediately after the war!
All your words create an instant impression so economically.
I really like the closing haiku. It made me smile widely, while thinking about swooning... 😄
Happiest Sunday, Gillena.

He would have been a heartthrob in those cinema days, for sure! Great haiku.
Love your words of swooning Gillena! Lovely! Happy Sunday my friend!
Gorgeous! And I have a feeling that when we get back out, stopping to talk will be one of those indulgences.
I remember one time at age 16 I went to the movies with an uncle my age. We sat in the balcony and he smoked a couple of cigarettes. That was in Oregon, he also had his own car.

Happy Sunday, Gillena. :)
Such a pleasure to visit here, Gillena. Enjoyed it all.
How clever of you to connect the gorgeous man with the cinema so many of us are missing now ~~~ well done!
And that was enough.
I know I'd swoon if I saw that face on a big screen. Ooh la la!
It will be nice to go to the movie theaters again, but my couch is fine for catching me when I swoon.
Thanks for dropping by Jenna
