Of pain and joy - the two opposite wellsprings of tears; how true your words underlined this truth. ♥
Let's hope the Olympics doesn't get spoilt by Covid invading the games. I was only looking at the swimming a few hours ago on the TV.
I'll have to try and get a look at that opening ceremony some time.
Thanks for your appreciation

Yeah the opening show was awesome. The march of the flags, though, as always, just put me to sleep.

Here's to the health of all the Olympians and crew working there.
I love the collage you did today, very creative and lovely, and apt too.
May our teams do well at the Games! :)
Both your comments for the Sunday Muse and your haiku of the Olympics are spot on, Gillena. Well said both!
Stunning artwork Gillena....I'm a fan : )
I wonder if we should send your first poem to the athletes who have been taking their masks off and hugging each other. The second poem made me sigh...

Nice collage, Gillena. Your poems remind me of Chuang Tzu's butterfly dream, where he wasn't sure if he was Chuang Tzu dreaming he was a butterfly or a butterly dreaming he was Chuang Tzu. Sometimes it's hard to know which is which. Good luck to your T&T team in Japan.

I do like our eyes as lakes. Overflowing. Just as an overfull lake has to let some out, so do we.
