BLOG HOPPING TODAY WITH
breakfast at church -
smoked-herring sandwiches
wrapped with gusto
the vacant lot
a few streets up; a vagrant
still fast asleep
branches of willows
bow to a grave of the dead -
whose ghosts haunt on site
a shiver
on a rainy moonlight
tingles his spine
a sloe-eyed
new gardener cuts the stem
of a laurel
slough of weary tales
tall tales dreary tales told -
altered through the years
a garland of smiles
from passing young women
can fetch his gaze
on a May morning
harness the hummingbird's dance
to this faithful sheep
