courtesan and monk,
sleeping under one roof together,
moon in a field of clover

ah but seasons never stay
soon gold and red falling

first snowflakes -

That winter, when the cold winds, so fierce, so real, so new, blows me into an almost curve. There i am feeling new feelings, feelings without names, weird howlings, my heart never knew existed. The kind i had up till then, been reading about in books, called novels. Reading is a good pasttime i'm always been told. Yet this wind is more like a metaphor, unreal, something representing something else.

vacation winds -
a howling in my heart asks
where are you my love

[the prompt quote]
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.” - Lewis Caroll

a string of prayer beads -
on a sultry summer's night
young princess chanting

one weeping willow
a leaf shadow oasis -
where the palm trees grow

camels on posters -
a cruise ship drops its anchor
left behind the snow

rainbow wishes span
a bright yellow blossom near -
the stone Buddha shrine
