(playing cards inset, from google)

Many a group, would choose to put aside Sunday to get together to have fun, to lime; and many of these limes are All Fours Limes'. I have played card games, for as long as i can remember; with family, relatives, friends, and co-workers. Uppermost in my mind however are those lunch-time and after work games, when friendly competition games of All Fours were played. The thrill of 'hanging the opponent's Jack' which was followed by loud uproars, and sassy picong

Were a swarm of ghosts unbidden, gathered where patches of mushrooms grow, over yonder hillside edges, the tribe of Thumberlinas with their diaphanous wings, and fallen stars tipping magical wands would, albeit, in worship songs, exact sharp rays of sunlight in a morning spill

of life's seasons, laid threadbare there

new horizons are
never new; always were

Having read, and thoroughly enjoyed, 'Curry Casadoo' written by Kamalo Deen; i jumped at the invitation, to be present at a function to meet with it's author. So yesterday morning, it was, my delight, along with a small group of readers, friends, and staff of Nalis St James, to listen to readings from this marvellous novel and converse with him.

DAY MOON - 20130922
Sometimes Sundays are like that,
You become the moth, but more than that;
Your desire for the light is a hunger,
Unsatiable, maddening, engulfing;

Like swallowing whole the moon,
Just as it waxes its fullest; no!
Mere crecsents will not suffice,
Translucent of day sky, that moon.

...its comfortably warm this morning, not yet too hot, and sunny; i'm reading 'Life of Pi' by Yann Martel (a book club recommended novel - which means other persons in my book club are also reading this) i've gotten through more than half, my favourite quote so far is from [page 6]
"The reason death sticks so closely to life isn't biological necessity — it's envy. Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it, a jealous, possessive love that grabs at what it can. But life leaps over oblivion lightly, losing only a thing or two of no importance, and gloom is but the passing shadow of a cloud."
...so i decide to sit outside this morning, (i'm an 'empty nester' so my time structuring is very much mine) Wow! my blessed sixties; my son and daughter, out on their own; my grand daughter will be one year old next month; i'm truly and humbly thankful for today, and yesterdays.
