fifty balloons
is now not enough; colours
still in creating

three blind mice
a nursery rhyme ago sung -
pride of new chants

years of growing -

Happy Independence Day to you and Trinidad and Tobago. Independence is a wonderful thing.
Have a wonderful day, Gillena. New photo is nice. :)

Both together--the maturing and the innocence. I love the flowers and the need for more colors. I've always found 3 blind mice scary--but that is the point, isn't it? Taken Life and independence, we have always the bitter with the sweet. But maybe we can make something new.

I bet there were a lot of parties happening. It's a great cause for celebration.

Thanks for visiting me Gillena. I didn't post anything for Poets United this Sunday. My poetic mind seems to be dormant.
Take care and have fun.

Oh, and I really like the way you celbrated poetically with these lovely poems!
