read more here...(John 13:34-35): A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you...by this everyone will know that you are my disciples...

Nice haiga Gillena -- I think no God/Goddess ever asked us to love Him/Her but only to love one another --

that people and their religious divisions brought out versions of scriptures saying so is another matter,

but one thing, after living it through, we somehow get to feel that attachment with God is better than that with humans...well that could be just me :)

MoP - merci pour ce beau vers

Dev - Unconditional love, that what we all want instinctively, so when in our imperfection our expections are not met; then we fall back through wisdom to LOVE itself which is God :)

Yes, Gillena...But i think real love doesn't involve any expectation -- if it does, it isn't love, even in the case of God -- ie, if we turn to God to meet our needs, fulfill our expectations...i don't think it would be fulfilled to our satisfaction either -- we learn to accpet it as fate/destiny

The comment i made about humans -- the way they take things for granted, and deal without mutual respect often saddens/upsets me -- well not that i can do anything about it --

nothing to do with love or expectation there :)

Sure Dev; when wisdom steps in, we do accept destiny but can still progress through faith :)

That commandment is harder to keep than all the thou-shalt-nots put together. A beauty, Gillena.
