Dear such and such
words written in long hand script
neat as can be

Peace and happiness-
on rays of sunlight shimmer
travel through heart beats

Happy Birthday
tease you with sips delightful
of morning bird songs

Sunday Savvy #90
Sunday Lime 1

Already, we have poem-ed ourselves through a half of this year. Last Sunday in June, paint me Van Gogh yellow, for I have always loved and still do, Sunflowers. I bought a pack of seeds one time, followed the instructions and planted them. No response. My garden is sans Sunflowers. Note to self " i must try planting Sunflowers again. Sunday Question: What does your garden lack that you feel strongly it should have

Chèvrefeuille's challenge: share a favorite haiku and try to create an all new haiku inspired on that choice haiku.

A haiku i like a lot and choose for my inspiration is
since morning glories
hold my well-bucket hostage
I beg for water

['Stamp Labour Day Cipriani and Butler' from google dot com]

To sweep, clearing the path for a shimmering sun, is to paint the day begun. Ignoring dawn, ignoring bird songs. To boiling water, coffee dust, adds an instant aroma alluring to beginnings. Across the street, bagged garbage are black crows; like shadows at night heaped. Later, the trucks will swarm in, in a fury and a din for the Sunday pickup. Behind the wall, the park, empty, except for early morning sunrise.
