Patterns with my ink pencils 😊 in April

Art For Fun Friday. I need a new theme for the month of April. I pit away my water colours and take up my ink pencils. I'm still using my water colour journal. Red. That"s the first colour i take out. I make a tiny squarish looking object and decides to repeat. But, the repeats end up being red objects and the size increases. That's just how my mind is working. Okay so i will continue throughout the whole page. Working that red ink pencil. What's happening. Just have to wait and see.

The word dossier comes to mind. I reconnect my checking my tabletop
dictionary -  information relating to a particular matter or person. Can i use a plural form...dosen't say.

The objects have started to get smaller. Is there a plan in all of this
...yes to fill up the page. Sitting one is coming to a close.
Okay do i apply a wet brush and pause. Some yellow added then another wet brush...

Minli sets out on an adventure to prosper her family's poverty. She walks along with footsteps buffered by her father's stories and a heart heavy laden from her mother's sorrow at their plight of poverty. Along the way she meets with echoes of her good heart and the wings of her imagination come to life.

STORY NOOK

CHAPTER 3 ... STRANGE SOUNDS

Christmas carols -

two grackles linger between

the melodies

"So tired, hungry, don’t think I can go much further, I miss my wife, I miss my children so very much."

Anansi was what we Trinis call a 'family man'. Anansi loved his family dearly and could not bear to be away from them for very long.

All around him was dense lush greenery. He was hearing strange sounds of birds and animals, all for the very first time. And he thought to himself: "If I could only reach the coastline I could start ...

the puppy sans mask
visitors at my gate with -
 a bottle of wine

Haiku approached me while i was reading an extramural course in Communications at The University of The West Indies in St Augustine Trinidad. It was very much like the surprise visit my brother and his sooo cute puppy gave me a day last week. A surprise bearing gifts.
I accepted the gift of haiku, which i thought was amazing - a poem only 3 lines with a count of syllables restriction! I laid it aside,  much like the bottle of wine i have still in the fridge to open some another time at my whim.
And then, when i bought my first computer in the late '90s, i deceided then, that's what i'm gonna do! Research, revitalize and make this my new hobby. And so i began writing haiku. First joining yahoo groups, then moving with my group haiku friends into Facebook and into blogsphere. So here i am folks.

This Season of Lent; a good time to reflect, fast and pray, as we continue to adjust to the new normal

The Lord is my strength, my shield,

my heart puts its trust in Him;

What's there to smile about today? Thank God for the grace of poetry

Everywhere we carried it. In the synchronicity of smiles, in sand between wet toes and dry toes, in the sparkling clear water of Grand Anse; an ocean span from home. It was light, it was bubbly, it was heady, it was exciting, it was blissful. Yes we carried it, holding it between each of our hearts. Our love. Sometimes the jealous sunshine can drive lovers to huddle in the shade of sea grape trees.
