SNOWFLAKE ARALIA RYOGIN
village kids
don't break all the plum branches
for cattle whips

a muddy path leads to school
who can skip on such a day

into the sea
throwing my sandals
rain on my hat

pirogues waddle a little
clouds rest on the sea surface

polished again
the mirror is as clear as
flower-like snowflakes

turning away from the smooth sea
colour splayed mountains beckon

falling to the ground
a flower closer to the root
bidding farewell

running fast from there to home
as if hearing mother's voice

mid-harvest
a crane on the rice paddy
in a village in autumn

a leaf falls as if dancing
with a swing partner

sleep on a journey
then you will understand my poem
autumn winds

back then children held respect
for their parents and elders

CAUSE IT'S SUNDAY
It's Sunday morning, where are my words? Their embryonic thoughts tingle my awakening soul, in it half sleepy state, yet conscious of it's birthing time. Forms, genres syllables all count for the newness of yet another poem. But nature lends itself to suffice this cause.

another morning -
in a furl of white petals
gift of life renewed
