I like this so much!
I am going to have to try my hand at Tan Renga - often times, when writing Haiku I find myself with more to say than I can cover in those 17 syllables - two more lines of 7 syllables each would give me so much more room to play.
Thanks Celestine, glad you dropped in
much love...
Lou definitely, then you have 2 genres to work with 'The Tanka' a 5-lined poem; and the Tan Renga where the the poemis presented with a link or shift in 2 sections
much love...
Gillenan -- I like the direction you moved with your completion. Thank you for sharing! :)

Good day Lou, maybe you can visit Carpe Diem Haiku Kai there you will find a warm haiku-family and this month it's all about Tan Renga. You're so welcome ...
You've made this Tan Renga complete in a wonderful way Gillena ... a very nice scenery unfolds.
Thank you for the link to the meaning of douens . I enjoy learning customs, myths and legends from other cultures.
i did not know about this legend - thanks for sharing and wonderful completion. ☺
The moon and the river a perfect place for dancing.
Delightful
A lovely Renga and I learned a new word - thank you :)
Rover Stones
a beautiful completion giving it a fairy tale touch... :)
I have got so comfortable with the normal 5/7/5 Haiku format that I really must get out of the rut and experiment a bit more. This I why I like visiting your blog to be inspired a little. Let's see how far you can push Old Egg.
