I'd be distracted by that beauty too – very happily.
Let's hope they do look up and see how beautiful it is.
That tree does make a pretty distraction.

❤️ Happy Sunday!
That kind of distraction is well worth it! Happy Pentecost to you.
Can't think of a best way of being distracted than a symbol of Nature's endurance.
We should all let ourselves to be distracted by bloom
Amazing how the beauty of nature can distract us and bring us back to center...to what is most important....seeing that gorgeous tree!

Such a lovely image that reminds of a tree that used to distract me by my old library. Thanks for the poem & the memory. :)
Such a glorious crown of gold, these scented blossoms on your precious town tree!
I had to look up "Poui" and was pleased I did...which made your piece, perfect sense.

A gorgeous tree Gillena! Enjoy your week :D) xx
Happy Sunday!
I'd love to be distracted by such beauty. Have a happy week.
This got me googling Woodford Square. What a fascinating history. Loved the way you placed the Golden Poui (which, I gather from my googling - in very much associated with Port of Spain) against that history, here. This is very cleverly crafted and - really - a stunning haiku.
yes, these flowers would distract anyone passing by. what a lovely haiku. :)
i had to look up "poui", whether it is comparable to our rain trees. the poui definitely flowers better, by a long mile.
A wonderful distraction Gillena.

Now that's what we need.. more nature, less downtown!
