loved these two haiku, especially the second one, i like the idea of bird song fitting only the day it was sung and nothing more. very well done

I like both haiku. Empty cage. Morning entraps the bird song, but not the bird. It will sing again!
Let the bird out so it can sing...no need to be caged...

Ah! Another Olympic games watcher. Now all our athletes have to be quarantined for fourteen days when they return to Australia. I quite enjoyed the TV coverage here.
