Your closing line of the memory of dancing feet is very moving Gillena.
Your words express the image perfectly. When all that's left are memories.

Dear Gillena, One cannot help getting emotional reading this beautifully crafted poem ....
Your poem made me very emotional. So beautifully expressed, the pain, the loss, the helplessness!
These were amazing, emotional experiences.

I'm liking them both and also the masked ??? The church reminds me that the russian Orthodox and other Eastern ones are celebrating Easter today. The russian president was shown on TV crossing himself for Easter. His Bible is like others? Those books have the ten commandments, the 5th Commandment is "Thou shall not kill." Besides being a ruthless killer and a mad man, he now has been shown to be a hypocrite.
It sickens me, I think 'taking' the Lord's name in vain also.
..
most excellent, Gillena.
