last night's downpour
even the moon took cover -

Today's note - credibility
a haiku beginner would be taken to task by some teachers or guides for the poem in today's haiga. Can the moon think and act in this particular way? would be the question thrown at the poor struggling beginner, that kind of personification is best left to the western poetry form, one is chided.
Credibility is a watchword of the neoclassical writers and its not such a bad thing; one should be cognizant of the rules before giving in to the personal muse.
What would be more acceptable to the beginner/guide relationship would be something like...

no moon seen -

sometimes personification works in a haiku, and for me, this works without being too obvious.
