Popular landmark Smokey and Bunty sports Bar, now stands like a skeletal shell located along the Western Main Road, St James, after last Wednesdays fire. This popular 'watering hole' has served locals and foreigners alike; and as newspaper reports state, has been visited by sportsmen and tourists, including Brazilian footballer Cafu, cricket legend Brian Lara and football stars Dwight Yorke and Russell Latapy.

Your haiku fits the photo perfectly. What a shame to have lost a landmark of your area. Also, your impression of the fire damage is great.

Dear Gilena, I am so sorry for this loss to you and your community. I love how you have captured in your haiku and imagery and art the vibrancy of this meeting place... I hope they rebuild. Thank you for sharing this with us all. Big hug to you.
