what a pretty haiku and visual. Makes me happy:) Happy PPF!
A nice Haiku/Senryū, Gillena. I envision reading as I do by the light beside my bed. I only turn a page now and then because I doze between pages someplace. Then a noise wake me up and I am able to turn two pages before I go to sleep again.
Your art work is neat, I can only do stickman art. And color pretty nicely, staying between the lines.

Ah your haiku always bring a smile to my face.. beautiful!!❤️
I took a deep sigh when reading this haiku, then read it again. It is a lovely way to start the day.

Gillena, what a beautiful image you've created - indeed a lovely metaphor. Thanks for participating & sharing your art.
Fantastic beginning. Love the art and the thoughts behind it. Blessings, Janet
Oh for a leisurely morning spent reading! I haven't had one like that in a while but need to jam bits in during afternoons between getting things done with the kids.
