Love the tropic sense in this... rain here is so much closer to ice.

i love the feeling your haiku has given me, Gillena. have a nice week
How easy it is to picture the scene in your haiku Gillena, especially as it is raining here in South Australia as I write.

Rain has its own music which I love to listen to for hours! Like I said, we both have rain on the mind for we just got over a bad drought here in CA.

Yes, the space between loneliness and holiness is the gift to interaction...
Thanks for sparking my thoughts. :)

Nice Gillena!
__ Seeing your photo and verse, I immediately envisioned in my mind's "thought salad," fireflies and their night's glow; of your nifty verse... easy music from the radio will often overcome discomforts, and yet there is that music... of soft rain.
rain begins
opening their umbrella
fireflies

soft music
lulling me to sleep
night rain

Sometimes there's a disjuncture between radio music and raindrops, and sometimes not!
