TEMPLE IN THE SEA
Siewdass Sadhu
a dreamer and a dream fullfilled
temple in the sea

obeying the rule
we leave shoes at the doorstep -
we gawk at murtis

the sound of jhandis
waving in cool sea breeze and
we walking away

Just lovely, in the writing. And what an intriguing subject.

I love that sound, the snapping sound of flags in the wind! Very nice imagery.

Is Murtis the elephant headed god? It seems to ring a bell. It is always good to visit somewhere unique.
