How wonderful that you have an old wire basket made by your Grandfather. Most of my old furniture came from my husband's family. Sadly, I was young and uninterested when I could have captured a few of my family heirlooms (something that I certainly regret). My Mother's taste was very oriental so she had no interest in the old things either ... probably why it took me so long to get tuned in. Love your ornament as well ... and yes, it is time to start thinking about Christmas, though I think it is going to be a very difficult Christmas in the states :( Very nice post, Gillena ...
