Divali is the festival of lights when tiny lamps (deyas) are lit. Holi is the festival when the coloured powders are thrown.

Yes, you're right about the holidays. I was wondering why Diwali would be celebrated now and not in the spring. I think I need a brush up on my holidays-smile. Thanks for letting me know. hugs again-Erika

We had Christmas cookies in September... I feel sad for today´s kids. Back then these items were precious and up only come December.
