a woman blessed
walks in charity and love -
our Saint Teresa
the works of heaven
even for mortals so blessed -
still a mystery love

I wonder how many will continue to call her mother instead of saint...
Well penned, Gillena!
I am so happy she is a saint now.
Few can doubt she was worthy of the honour.
She will always be Mother Teresa I think. Saint she may be and there are so many others too...unassuming humble selfless working nuns devoted to the poor and suffering in the third world whom no one ever hears about. Blessed Sunday to you Gillena !
She was so amazing. I like this tribute to her, Gillena.
The exact same thing, i am thinking Magaly

Yes she did become a saint... maybe it's easier to remember her that way, but in a way it's a pity too.
and she continues to inspire.
a woman blessed
walks in charity and love .......so apt, I like these lines
Such a degree of selfless love is indeed a great and sacred mystery!
such people are rare and true ornament of this earth .they show the real way of living and humanity .glad you remembered her today dear
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous ❤
It was an iconic moment - I wonder too if Saint will resonate as much as Mother.. Time will tell.. A fitting commemoration
Amen! So be it.

Thanks for your appreciation Bjorn, i think however it will take a long long time for people to forget her works of charity . I think the focus of both saint and Mother of can reside side by side

Lovely! The simplicity and lack of embellishment of the haiku form - the perfect vehicle to pay tribute to a woman who devoted her life to faith, charity and clarity of purpose.
Thanks for your appreciation Wendy
