wind through banana -
fronds stir in gentle curtsies
in their green response

gathering thoughts
in the rhythm of leaves -
a quiet breeze

Especially like this line. Can almost see the movements of the banana leaves from left to right and back!

That's a wonderful poem. I have a couple of banana trees in pots that I put outside in the summer and they grow like crazy. So I am loving the poem because it reminds me of sitting on my porch with those trees and a little breeze. Plus your sketches are so rich and almost feel like some exotic ethnic place to me. (Of course Jamica is an exotic place to me here in the cold northeast of the US) How a wonderful weekend Gillena. Hugs-Erika

Two sublime; sublime haiku. The first an entrancement of words...the accompanying jungle melody just makes this a gorgeous experience.
